Epic Games announced a collaboration between Fortnite and the Netflix hit animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters. The event introduces elements from the movie, including characters and themed items, available starting this Thursday, October 2. The partnership allows players to embody the protagonists in game modes and create custom content.
The Horda Impetuosa mode transforms into Horda Demoníaca, where players face waves of enemies. Gamers can recruit Rumi, Mira, and Zoey as avatars and earn movie-inspired perks during survival phases. This mode will be available until November 1.
The Fortnite store adds the HUNTR/X Pack, featuring outfits, accessories, and emotes that replicate the fictional band’s style. Specific missions unlock items like Rumi’s Sword and Mira’s Extra Spicy Ramen for use in Battle Royale and Blitz.

Expansion of the Netflix partnership
The collaboration reflects the success of K-Pop Demon Hunters, produced by Sony Pictures Imageworks and directed by Maggie Kang. The film follows a trio of idols who hunt demons while maintaining their music career. Recently released, it topped Netflix’s viewership charts. The Fortnite integration uses Unreal Engine technology, common in animated productions. Players explore settings blending music and supernatural action. Themed dances and music enhance the immersive experience.
Visual updates in the game
Fortnite updated icons, banners, and lobby backgrounds to promote the event, featuring the protagonists prominently.
Mission and reward unlocks
Zoey’s missions involve survival challenges granting golden protective bubbles.
Rumi’s tasks focus on sword-based combat to unlock variants.
Mira’s objectives include consuming spicy items for temporary speed boosts.
All quests integrate with existing modes without altering core mechanics.
